The litter situation is so bad that the apartment manager actually put a typewritten (unsigned) note on each resident's door pleading for cooperation. Paper, garbage, soda bottles and the like liberally litter the lanes.

The noise level has slowly increased in the apartment complex to the point where it is now disruptive. There's a guy who walks with such a heavy tread in the apartment behind mine that I've woken up at 3 am thinking there was a burglar in my living room! And my guests have heard this guy, gotten startled and commented on this too.

Plus Friday and Saturday nights are deafeaningly noisy is you stay indoors to have some peace and quiet in your apartment - 'cuz people open their car doors and let their subwoofers rip! As if their car shaking weren't enough, these people take perverse pleasure in waking people up, making them feel the vibrations of the noise ("music" is a word that doesn't come to mind here) in their very bones and on the floors of their apartments!

The managerial staff seem powerless and unwilling to stop the noisemakers and the litterbugs. I'm now seriously considering breaking my lease. If you're a party-goer and are not particular about cleanliness, sign a lease here at Gentian Oaks.
