Feels Like Home

Greystone at Inverness is one of the nicest apartment complexes in Columbus. I have lived in one of the 2br/2.5ba townhouses for a year now, and not only was the townhouse neat and clean when we moved in, but it felt a lot more like a home than an apartment. It's also more affordable ($830/mo) than most of the 2-3br/2ba apartments (I've had friends that paid more than $900 /mo at Grove Park/Sugar Mill) in North Columbus, yet has just as much (usually more) square footage. There also is no fee for water use.
The property itself is well managed and kept up on a constant basis. Maintenance of the apartments is done on a quarterly schedule, and from time to time the Orkin guy leaves a card on my counter saying he came by for usual pest control. We have never had a problem with insects of any sort, thankfully. The neighbors here are courteous and seemingly quiet. Parking is not a hassle, and so far I have not once felt unsafe while going to or from my car at different hours of the day or night.
The staff is great and take care of everything as promptly as possible! They seem to go above and beyond a lot more than some I've seen in past apartment complexes. I remember one day when it snowed the maintenance crew came out and helped scrape snow off of the cars so that any trips would be not only safe, but quick at that! It's rare you find people that are so attentive without even having to ask.
We'll definitely be extending our lease here. OH, speaking of that.. One thing I noticed is that when your lease is set to renew, depending on how many years you've rented, you get to choose something you'd like to have done to your apartment from a list. I noticed that an accent wall could be painted, a new fan could be placed in the den, or the carpets could be cleaned free of charge for a 1-2 year renew. As you renew, the list changes depending on the years you lived here. It may not seem like much, but usually most places just ask you to renew with no sort of incentive. It's nice to have a little more than a simple thank you for renewing the lease.
All in all, I couldn't ask for a better place to live. I just hope everyone that moves here has the great experience we have had thus far. It's not usual to find a place like this, so I felt Inverness deserved a great review.
