This place is the biggest rip off ever!!!

My husband and I had lived in Whisperwood for two years.

We just recently moved out because my husband was being sent to another duty station.

Anyway, we hired a cleaning woman to clean our apartment along with paying someone to shampoo our carpets.

We were told that if anything went wrong that it would be covered.

So we spent a total of $150 to make sure we got our security deposit back.

Man were we wrong.

We originally paid almost $2,000 in order to move in.

So we should have gotten a few hundred dollars back on the deposit.

We were told on the day of inspection that we would only get $100 back.

Plus we had paid $50 a piece for those gate openers so we did not have to use those cards.

We were told at the time of inspection that we would only get $25 a piece back for them.

So whatever anyone does, DO NOT BUY THOSE ELECTRIC GATE OPENERS!!!! Now we are in our next duty station about 1200 miles away and we had finally received our check from Whisperwood.

We were told we would receive $150 dollars.

Guess what'!'! We only received half of it.

So anyone that moves out of this place, do not hire anyone to clean for you (especially the ones that they recommend) just clean it yourself.

We also filled in all of the holes in the walls from the pictures along with priming and repainting the walls.

We ended up out a total of $350 because we wanted to make sure that we would get our entire security deposit back.

If my husband and I knew that we would still be out all of that money, never again will we ever hire someone else to clean.

We should have done what everyone else did and that was create our own paper receipt to show that the carpets were shampooed and just shampooed it ourselves with our own shampooer.

Unfortunately our situation cannot be rectified at least that is what we were told.

So please, anyone who is reading this and lives in Whisperwood Apartments in Columbus Georgia, please do not make the same mistake that we have made.

Get out while you still can!!!!
