When I first moved in there, the people in front office was indeed welcoming and pleasant. But once you are in, it is a different story.
About a few months into my tenancy, I saw my neighbor getting arrested . I alter found out that the complex do not run background checks before renting but rest assured they do run credit check. Then every week after another it is another issue in my building. Then there graffiti on the walls which they take forever to remove.
When my lease was up and I was ready to move out, they were nice again so like a fool I renew for another year. These people are fake. Then when you actually give them notice to move out, they become plain evil harassing you with every little thing.
Then to pay your monthly rent, you have to wait until the office is open from 9 to 5 because the drop box has to be removed because of thieves. I work and leave my house at 7 and if I waited until the Saturday I am off to bring my rent, I might get a late charge. I tried to pay on line but their company charge you a fee
No way! Never again!

lol..the online payment thing is a joke..i cant remember what the fee is but its a rediculous price...i have not seen any real vandalism but too many teenage children roaming the area..and you know how places get when kids overrun the area. I dont have any problem with rental fees because my rent is always paid but this utility fee is getting ridiculous..i live in a one bedroom apt by myself and my bill never passed 24 dollars now its pushing past 50...WHAT!!!

LAKE ST JAMES IS A RIP OFF...HIGH ELECTRICITY BILLS RUN BY MANAGEMENT NOT METERS. THE MANAGEMENT IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. THEIR DEFENSE TO THE MEDIA IS THAT ALL THE TENANTS THAT ARE COMPLAINING ARE THE ONE'S WITH HIGH BILLS!! HMMMMM...OF COURSE ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN THE UTILITY CHARGES AN DTHE CONSTANT BREAK-INS THAT OCCUR!! DON'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO MOVE HERE YOU WILL BE LOCKED IN BY THEIR SMILE AND AS SOON AS THE INK DRIES THEIR TRUE PERSONALITY SHOWS....DISGUST!! TRY A MONTHLY BILL OF 320 FOR A THREE BEDROOM WHEN I WORK FROM 7-5 AND MY KIDS AR AT ASCHOOL AND AFTER-SCHOOL. REALLY LAKE ST JAMES???
