They are all nice and wonderful when your trying to get an apartment there...HOWEVER... give it about amonth... then the poor things will start popping up if your are not a "FAVORITE" tenant. here is the list of the good and bad of Willow Trace...
Good:
-when there isnt a party going on, parking is ok for the tenants
-the water heater is fantastic
-as the other "reviews" state... location, location, location
-neighbors are more than willing to be your buddy if your in college.
-trash pick up is pretty regular
-if your a favorite, you dont have to obey all of the rules stated in the contract
- you can only hear your neighbors if they are blatantly loud
-will house you in another apartment if the current one becomes a problem
Bad and the ugly
-the workers/tenants/family of the owner will come into your apartment with no notice (makes it interesting when your in the shower and they are there to replace the air filter by the bathroom)
-friends are supposed to get parking passes
- there are NO regular hours or days in the home office... this makes things VERY difficult if you need to talk to anyone in the office
-some tenants can have pets others cant for no real reason (favorite game)(this includes fish)
-if you have to terminate your contract early for ANY reason (unless your getting deployed by the military with official documentation) you have to find someone to fill your lease or pay the remaining rent REGARDLESS
-the laundromat eats your money and the dryers have to be run twice in order to get your clothing dry
-Landlord treats the community as a social grouping rather than a professional one... i.e. if he does not like you he becomes difficult to work with but if your his buddy you can get away with almost anything
-the pricing on this website is incorrect for a double
- if it is a party weekend you can forget about sleeping or parking even though the spaces are labeled for the apartments.
-unless it is an emergency, any kind of problem in terms of the upkeep of your apartment, will not be addressed in a timely manner regardless of numerous phone calls or encounters with the owner.
overall... the apartment itself is ok, the staff is ok if your friends with them,
WARNING: read over the conract MANY times with a fine tooth comb because there is a LOT in that thing that will burn in the end.

In response to this, where does one begin.. As I sit in the office that is never occupied..First your is you're for you are..The bottom line is when a tenant's personal relationships go sour and they want to leave, they can sublet.. No, you can't just move out, but you can sublease.. The rest of it I will not even begin to try to address, as with someone like this it only complicates their existing personal problems. Have the nerve to come to the office and act as an adult.... The Manager

Wow! I was considering renting there but now that I read this guys post and the immature response by the manager, forget it! I'm not living in a place where the manager challenges an unhappy tenant. It seems to me like Willow Trace needs to develop some customer service and service recovery skills.

Well I think all the tenants should read the lease throughly. If you can't afford or think a door knob will be fixed in 10 minutes, live with "mommy and daddy."

In response to this, the same regulations are placed in all other apartment complexes that I attempted to move into i.e. the no pets, subleasing your apartment (that is the reason for the lease in the first place is to control occupancy...try and rent a house see how far you get trying to break a lease like that), they are very compliant when there are issues with the laundry service, etc. And as for the response made by management: I think it is justified. If you are unhappy, speak up, don't just post something nasty on the internet. I have worked within customer service for 6 yrs, and I have news for all out there that haven't,enough is enough sometimes. Negativity and bad mouthing can only be taken for so long. Management has every right to back themselves up.
