Other negative reviews are true!!! ------- is rude and nosey. They never fix anything and some are allowed pets and some are fined a large sum of money. ($150 or more) Notes are constantly shoved under the door and once I was rudely accused of not paying my rent when "they" lost my check! We were told no guest unless we check with management first ( I thougt I moved away from my parents) It has been increasingly more unpleasant the longer I live here and I strongly discourage moving to willow trace aprt. I cant wait till my lease is up and I can get the heck out of there and get away from the constant supervision, we are not children. I can always hear my neighbors and every other sound within a 2 mile radius. Our back yard area is always a mess and our grass is never kept cut or neat. My locks on my doors do not work properly and my apt. could easily be broken in to. I should at least be able to feel safe as a young female, however my key almost always gets stuck in my door and I am stuck outside at night alone unable to enter my apt. without a struggle. They are really nice and helpful in the beginning but that changes the minute the lease is signed and your stuck there under -------s rule! Im serious!!!

The tenant who just wrote this review has not come into the office and the mgmt of these issues she has. No apt complex has ESP and are mind readers. There is a lease in place for a reason. If you do not abide by that there are consequences. If you live anywhere, there are rules. If you would like to break your lease and go live with mommy and daddy, I'm sure the mgmt would be happy to let tenants who cant read a lease go. As for the pets, no mgmt company can just walk in people's apts and check for violations. Only when the mgmt views a violation or there is complaint do they take action. As for the gas, it has been raining and you cant move in the rain with an $8,000 mower. You should go talk to the mgmt if you have problems, instead of talking bad about them on the internet. Because the only person who is looking bad is the tenant.

I've seen a pattern with many of the responses to complaints regarding this particular complex. It seems as though whenever there is a complaint the management aggresively goes on the offensive. I've had friends live at Willow Trace and have visited on my occassions. It is true that the rear of the apartments are mostly trashed but I am sure that is due to some of the tennants. The complex is bordering a college campus so there will be loud parties, drinking, and in a few cases (seen personally on 3 seperate occassions) drug use and public nudity/ fornication. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a college town these things will happen. Complete privacy can only be accomplished by renting a house through any of the local companies and living just outside city limits. As for the management, yes they are slow to repair somethings, yes they do change procedures (like charging for cleaning carpets then it doesn't get done), yes they need to revamp their contracts but from what I've seen on the outside they do not operate any differently from any other apartment management. The bottom line is in order to make it a completely positive experience you have to compromise. Some complexes do credit and background checks on tenants and workers but that is impossible in Dahlonega. I have talked to some people, while looking at places to live, and heard mixed reviews (everything from amazing apartments, great rates, and nice managment to dirty yards, no parking, and even once a guy shot a snake by the dumpsters lol). I've even had friends tell me there are people running around with guns in the complex asking people questions. Is everything true? Probably not, just take everything 50 50 and do your research. Visit all the complexes and real estate offices, see if they will give you a sample contract to read over. Talk to residents, get many opinions then make a decision.
