My apartment is mere feet from the train tracks, making sleeping through the night virtually impossible.
Since I moved in, there have been quite a few disturbing crimes (shooting, attempted rape) that occured on the property.
The property responded by retooling the gate, which now spends a fair amount of the time broken.
When it's not broken, it squeaks terribly, making it actually more obnoxious than the train.
My car was hit while parked in the parking lot, and the leasing office was of little help when I was trying to get tapes from the security cameras, which, incidentally, point at the ground.
The leasing office refused to fix our dishwasher, claiming that it wasn't actually broken and we just weren't using it properly, the hall bathroom door won't stay closed when the heat/air conditioning is on, it took four calls to maintenance to fix the leak in my bathroom ceiling (at one point they responded to my complaint about a leak by painting it).

...Ok That was funny. I lived in Avrey Glenn from 2000 to 2002, and my apartment was at the front of the complex, on the top floor, facing that front gate (That always jammed) but you kinda blocked it out. Now the train was something else, because it ran like clock work I kinda blocked that out too......Except that damn whistle 3am every morning.

Did they put the train tracks there after you moved in or did you expect the train to quietly glide by?

Yep. My roommate had a concern about a warped ceiling/discolaration in the bathroom and was told "It's a cleaning issue". Now it's pouring water and no one is around to help.
