I was extremely dissatisfied with the Conservatory at North Druid Hills. I have lived at a Gables, and a Post in the Atlanta area for many years and I have never run across a company who was so desperate for a tenant's money.
I put a deposit down on an apartment on Tuesday afternoon and I decided to cancel my reservation because I am leaving the state. I called back on Friday to see if I could get my money back, considering it had barely been three days. At first I was told by the leasing agent who I was working with that I would be able to pick up a check that very day because the lady who writes the checks was in. As I pulled into the apartment complex, I get a phone call from the same agent who informs me that her manager would not give me the money back because they held that apartment for me and "this was not a rule he just made up". If anyone sees their apartments(the ones that are 23 years old) would know that there is not a mad rush for their apartments. Especially the one I almost ended up getting.
I am so grateful that I had changed my mind about living in a complex such as this. By this experience, I have come to see first hand that they lack the class and standard which I would hold an apartment complex to. Maybe I expect too much coming from complexes such as Gables or Post.
Even though I am a student and cautious about saving money, I would never recommend this complex to any of my friends.
The purpose of this message was to inform you of the lack of professionalism at the Conservatory at Druid Hills, and how misinformed their staff is. If you do end up leasing with this complex, I hope you don't encounter any problems, because I can assure you that they will not do what they can to help you out. They are definately the type of complex to be in it for themselves first before their residents.

This is a prime example why you should read all the paperwork before giving money.
