I've heard some bad things about the condo part of Gables Montclair, but as a current/soon to be former resident of the town homes, I'm a little sad to go. Parking is difficult, but if you have a town home with a garage you've solved that problem, and Moya (the restaurant directly across the street) doesn't tow if the parking fills up. I couldn't hear either of my neighbors at all during my 8 month stay. The maintenance was quick and attentive; they always responded within a day if we had little problems and fixed them right away (we had an issue with our garage door being stuck for .5 day, and our freon ran a little low toward the end of summer .5 day).

The only drawback that we have is that toward the end of our time here no one has put out dog bags, and so the other residents don't always clean up after their dogs.

My favorite thing about Gables Montclair is the staff. They explained all aspects of the contract that I had questions about and reassured me that if there were problems then they would be taken care of- and they actually backed up their words! If we ever had even the slightest problem, they were all over it, and they even stayed late for us on a few occasions because of our work schedules.

If we weren't buying our own town home closer to our jobs, we would have stayed at Gables Montclair for a lot longer.
