I lived here when they first opened and I was an undergrad at Emory. I lived in one of the townhouses.
These were just beautiful. The rooms were huge, bathrooms and kitchen were very nice. We had hardwood floors in the living area which was wonderful. We also had an attached garage which was very convenient, especially when coming in late.
This was a perfect as a student...lots of other Emory students lived here which was fun, and the location was very close so I could walk, take a shuttle, or drive depending on the time and weather. It was also very close to a few restaurants, grocery store, etc. The pool was wonderful, and there was a nice workout room as well.
On the downside, they definitely increased rent dramatically. My first year, we got a special for $1995 for a 3 bedroom/2.5 bath/den but the rent went up to $2250 for a second year so we moved into a different townhouse for $1750, but the following year, that rent increased to about $2000. Also, parking was a challenge for guests and others and people sometimes blocked our garage. It could also get noisy when there were parties. This definitely got annoying on a few occasions.
In terms of safety, I always felt very safe here. I knew everyone around me, and felt comfortable with the quality of residents in this complex. There wasn't a gate or security, but it seemed OK because of the people around us.
Overall, this was a great place to live. They were pricey for students, but you get what you pay for and we loved our apartments!
