Did not meet expectations at all

When I first moved to Atlanta Longwood seemed to be perfect for me. Nice sized units with washer and dryer included in a safe neighborhood that was a short commute to work, entertainment and shopping. Unfortunately, as I lived in Longwood I began to realize that it wasn't the place for me.
The units are starting to show their age and it often took a battle with the office for anything to be fixed. More often than not it took maintenance more than one visit to properly fix a problem. My last winter there it took them a month to get my heater working properly while I continued to sleep in sub 55 degree temps.
Noise is also a problem. I understand it is an apartment, but you hear quite a bit, even for a rental. That said, most neighbors are incredibly nice and simply asking them to tone it down works well. The people who live in this community are professionals and/or grad students for the most part and a incredibly respectful.
The windows in any unit not facing the parking lot are inadequate for allowing light to come in. I did not realize until I moved into a new place how dark my apartment truly was. As a person who likes a lot of natural light, this did not work well for me.
Management is rather deceptive at times and tacks on extra charges when you move out, even for things you replaced or took care of.
