One of the better bargains around the area

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
I was a resident at Emory Univ. Hospital. As such, I appreciate the fact that there are also several resident doctors also living there as well as medical students and other young professionals. I think this is one of the most important factors as the people that surround you dictate a lot in term of your living experience. And i did like all of my neighbors and everyone i met there.
Everyone has a way of finding if an apartment is well maintained. My way was by checking out the laundry room, which is usually reflective of how much care goes into the complex. And the laundry rooms there are clean and look nice, even when occasionally people littered them with those downy things. They have an excellent spacious workout area with free weights and machines and stairmasters. The pool is one of the nicest bigger pools i've seen in an apartment complex. My maintanance orders are taken care of promptly. The complex is fairly secure behind the gate which is ALWAYS closed. There is fencing completely around the complex. A few unfortunate thefts did take place (not to me), but overall you feel pretty safe in the complex.
Having said the nice things, I guess i will have to go into a few negatives. One is the traffic on N. Druid Hill in the morning at 7 or 8 going toward clairmont is Horrendous. I usually have to use short cuts through the neighbors and get off N Druid Hill ASAP. But then again, there's not a whole lot of place in Atlanta that's not getting gridlocked. Second is the noise you hear sometimes due to the apartment being next to the train track, not that much of a deal to me.
I am writing this review now in retrospective 1 yr later because the complex that i am living right now in jacksonville, fl is $30 cheaper/month and it has 100 more sqft of space, but I would gladly pay 600 right now to live at Post again as where i am right now the tenants and the apartment is crap compared to Post.
Last, Post Walk has one of the best landscaping I've seen for an apartment. Doesn't do any good for my seasonal allergy, but i still really appreciated it.
