If I knew what I know today, I would NOT be a resident of Williamsburg Apartments (moved in July 2008). Prior to signing my lease, I questioned the assistant manager if Julian LeCraw and Company planned to convert the apartments to condominiums, she stated NO. The only information she did provide was DeKalb County surveyors were on the property recently to revamp property lines. Within 5 days of signing my lease I received notification to attend the resident meetinG to discuss rezoning proposal to convert the Williamsburg Apartment community to Mix Use Development (office space, retail, apartments, condominiums, single-family homes and townhomes). During the meeting the executive vice president of development group for LeCraw and Company stated the company would proceed with the conversion regardless of the outcome of the rezoning proposal. The property manager assured residents the renovation plans would be completed in phases. Two weeks after the meeting Julian LeCraw and Company distributed written notification to all residents which stated the termination clause of the lease would be extended from 60 to 180 days and they would fulfill every lease through 12/31/09
