I recently moved to Woodland Hills Apartment and have had multiple maintenance and noise problems. There is also a big bug problem that no amount of spraying seems to help. There is no security and the rules are not enforced. For example, pool is suppose to close at ten but there have been people at the pool as late as 1:00 am. People leave trash outside their doors for weeks and the staff does not say or do anything. The walls are very thin and you hear everything. I have contacted the office about a maintenance problem three times and the problem still exists.

I would like to take this opportunity to respond to your comment. I am very sorry that you have had noise problems. As I am sure you are aware, living in an apartment is not the same as a house and can be challenging at times, with different people all in one building. If you are having problems from the same neighbors, please contact the office and we will gladly send a letter addressing the concern. If it is unbearable and at a time the office is not open, please call the main number and choose the option to leave a message for the courtesy officer, or feel free to call the DeKalb County Police Dept. to file a complaint. In regards to your maintenance issues, I urge you to call the office, if you have not, so that we may address them. Sometimes, depending on the situation, the problem is not corrected the first time. For this, I apologize, but promise that my staff will work diligently to rectify the situation. As for the comment of no security....We do have a courtesy officer that lives on-site and also has a pager to respond to any complaints that are called in through our answering service. He patrols several times per day, at different times, and has been very effective in regulating the issues we have had. In the instance of the people at the pool at 1:00am...we had an incident where some people jumped over the locked gate and were using the pool after hours. The Courtesy Officer was informed and he made a visit and made them leave. I am very sorry to hear that you are not happy hear, and look forward to hearing from you if there are any unresolved issues at this time.

I have lived here for almost two years. I have no problem with bugs. AS for the trash problem, call the office and they will tell the tenants who leave the trash outside to stop (I have done this and it DID work). I hear NO NOISE through the walls from my neighbors. When you moved in, you obviously picked an apartment in the pool area - you should have known there would be noise around that area...

No, I did not pick an apartment around the pool. The apartment I was given was not the apartment that was shown to me. So I had no idea until I moved across state that I would be living near the pool. Until you know all the facts, you really should not be responding. You do not live in my apartment and you have no idea what I have been going through. You have no idea how many times maintenance has come to fix a problem and you have no idea how many times I had to report a problem with bugs and noise. I have contacted the office--numerous times about all the issues that I stated. It was only after numerous calls and still not getting the problems resolved that I decided to let others know about my experience. I am very happy that you have not had any problems. I wish I could say the same thing.

Responding to your posting - I live at Woodland Hills and I think the staff is great. Maybe if you go to the office and talk to Management, I am sure they will do all they can to resolve the situation. I know that they have taken good care of me since I have been here and have treated me very curtious. I can see that the staff here really cares and I see they work hard to make a difference. I feel that the managers of Woodland Hills now is far better than any other managers we have had in the past. I would recommend Woodland Hills to my friends!
