This apartment started out as ok until the Dekalb Co. sheriff that lived across the hallway from me moved out. After that, the neighbors below me treated the place as their own barn...literally. They had roosters tied to the back porch that would crow at all hours day or night. I went to the office staff and the roosters remained. I went back to the office staff and nothing was done except talking to those residents. The roosters stayed! They were there for a total of 4 months off and on tied to everything from the back porch to the bushes to the trees! I emailed the corporate office to try to get a response and no one responded. I had to have them removed by filing an animal cruelty report with animal control.
The amount of roaches this place has is absolutely absurd to the point that the management actually had us all clean out everything from our cabinets in the kitchen to spray every apt at one point. The roaches are so abundant that they would get into the refrigerator and the dishwasher with both of the appliances shut.
These apartments have been around for a good while so some of the appliances will be old and rusted. The electrical wiring is also in dire need of replacement (when you turn on a light switch the light comes on and then turns off without you even touching it and half of the outlets don't work very well or at all).
The only good...The grounds are well kept and everything looks nice from the outside. There are several families and it always felt safe.
When all was said and done and I turned in the keys the office staff said that I owed them more $$ in rent because the market rate had gone up. I was quoted a price and I paid what I was told to pay. Yes it is cheap but you can get a much better apt for a few dollars more a month on the exact same road with way less problems. Keep looking.
