I read re: discrimination comments and felt
If they UNDERSTAND and Fully read what was said about DISCRIMINATION, they would have understood that the parent was getting the apartment and that the children would be living with the parent, it was not an apartment for the children. If you have children, who lived with you, all their life, and YOU when for an apartment what credit rating would your children who was 18 have' Also it was stated that the parent was ALREADY approved for the apartment so their credit must have been alright1 THRE IS SOMETHING WRONG!!!

Yeah something is wrong. I think the OP isn't telling the entire story, that's what's wrong. An Apt. complex can turn you down for any reason what so ever. Sure most of them will tell you that you are approved based on what you tell them when you fill out your application for residency, BUT after checking on everything they may see something there that would prohibit them from renting to you. It could be as simple as having an owed cell phone bill on your credit and the co. who they send the applications too could be the ones to say no to it. I see no discrimination in what she posted and personally I am sick of people throwing up this discrimination crap all of the time when things do not go their way. It gets old.

mspris72 you sound old. Like an OLD run-down record player. This is a forum where everyone can voice their opinions on apartments where they have lived. If someone feels discriminated against, then they should voice it. You are probably the reason some people wanted to move out of some apartment complexes. Learn to appreciate people's opinions grandma.

It states in any apartment lease that children 18 and older must fill out an application as well. It has nothing in this world to do with discrimination. It is the rules. The womans son was turned down for whatever reason, therefore causing her not to be able to move in.
Read the lease and you will see where it states anyone 18 and over who will be residing in the apartment must fill out a seperate application.
I do not work for these apartments, but came on here to read reviews. I just had to respond to these ridiculous claims of race discrimination.
