Theft is a real problem at Century/Lenox. Two cars have had their wheels and tires stolen right out in front of their apartment. And, just this past weekend another car was stolen. The gates stay open long enough to allow several cars in...as many as are in line. The sensor won't close until all are through. A lift arm needs to be installed that closes after each and every car. The cameras that are intalled through out the area DON'T even work. The street lights are often out. Garages are being broken into and all tools and other items are being stolen. And all the staff seems to think all that needs to be done is send out a letter to each renter letting us know that something else has been stolen...and that makes it all better. It's really hard to sleep here at night and feel safe. The gate at the pool doesn't lock...often it has a paper towel stuck in the lock to hold it open, because the code lock is broken and residents can't get in or out. The hot tub has been broken since I have lived here, and that's a long time. Things have really gone down hill, and the people who should care, just don't.

I only heard about one car with wheels being stolen! The gates staying open as long as you say...I'm not sure. I lived where there was an arm though, and people would drive through and break it off! (And they don't look that great...) The cameras on the other hand, they work, from what I've seen. I remember being in the office when they were reviewing information a while back. Don't know about 24/7 or what have you, but they had videos at one point!! I'm glad they send notices out about anything on the property! At least they make us aware and don't sweep it under the rug! I appreciate the communication the staff maintains with the residents. (Although I haven't heard of the garages being broken into, either!) Where did you hear that? I got all the other correspondences! Thanks for keeping us posted, but I don't think it's as bad as you're making it out to be once you live there and enjoy all the apartments, community, and staff has to offer. Just check out a couple other places...

Well, I differ with you. 1 year ago my neghbor in the 1200 building had his front door kicked down at 2:00 in the afternoon while he was asleep in his bed.

Well I differ with you neighbor! I have lived in the 1200 bld. over 5 years now, and I have never heard of this one.I asked the maintenance men about this and they have not heard of it either. Don't you think if someone kicked in a door the police would have come? and I know maintenance would have to fix the door. Lets be real if you want to say things, say the truth.
