I lived at Wesley Pond for 8 months, and it was the worst living decision I have ever made. Yes, the lake is nice, but we couldn't really enjoy it because our porch was so dirty and the wood damaged (my friend was sure there were termites too). We put in a work order BEFORE we even moved in to get it repaired and painted, and it NEVER was completed in the 8 months I lived there. I even followed up, but nothing was ever done...
Another thing, I called to verify the rent amount with one of the girls in the office when I made my first payment. Yes, I should have looked at the lease, but I thought I could just call and trust the staff since she went and got the lease out of my file when I called. Well, three months later we receive a bill for over $300 for rent due. Apparently, the girl had told me the wrong price and they did not catch it for THREE months. So in December, right before Christmas, we had to come up with the money. The property manager seemed to be understanding, but gave little leeway as far as a payment plan or whatever. I don't mind paying the right rent that was on the lease, my issue was that there was no office communication and organization and I was told the wrong price. Then they expect us to come up with it right before Christmas with no notice. Wesley Pond's office is a mess. And although I have moved out several months ago, I am STILL dealing with the apartment. I received a bill for over $700 in charges on my Statement of Security Deposit Account. $700!!!! They're saying that I still have rent due, that I didn't turn in keys, that I destroyed the carpet and bathtub, etc etc etc. When I called about the charges, the property manager said that she knew I turned in my keys and didn't know why that was there (my question is, if this was a mistake [$150 for keys], then who's to say the rest of it isn't BS''' When I asked if I can contest the charges, she said no. Oh, but I WILL contest the charges. I have already left a message with corporate and I am faxing a letter to both the property and the corp. office. Maybe they will be more organized than the people beneath them handling the tenants!!!!
