Everything was ok until I was about to move out.
If you have a question about something, make sure to ask more than one person because they just cant seem to get their acts together. My lease was up end of april and I needed to stay for another week or 2 to move into my own house. I had asked Mikesha about paying the rent (pro-rated and a ridiculously hiked price) and she had told me I had to pay the full month of may. I called like 2 days later and spoke to maria who told me it wasnt true.
Anyway, so I went in on the 23rd of april to sign some papers and ask them if it was ok to move out on the 15th on May. Maria had asked the manager if it was ok since I wasn't giving a full 30 days notice and the manager had said it was fine since I was only about 8 days late on giving the notice to move out on the 15th. I signed the required papers which maria signed also and paid the pro-rated rent until the 15th and I thought everything was fine.
On the 15th of may when I went to hand in my keys, the manager told me I had to stay until the 23rd and of course pay them for the 15th-23rd which was like $200!'! I was like this is ridiculous, I was told it was ok and it was clear on the papers signed by both maria and I that I was moving out on the 15th. The manager threatened to send the rent to collections and her response also was "Sorry we made an error"!! I was like listen to yourself!
I told them to use my security deposit towards the rent and shove the $8 change where the sun dont shine!
I never had a problem until that last day.
