I'd like to say that I don't live in this community, but I'd like to share an experience I just had calling them to ask a question.
I liked the property, but was concerned about the parking situation mentioned by renters on this site. Here is a rough transcript of a conversation I had with Carrie in the leasing office:
Me: I like your property, but I've heard you have a parking problem there. I noticed you have garages, though.
Carrie: Yes, we do, they're $75 per month.
Me: Do you ever do specials for new leases where a garage might be included' I work late and don't get home until 10pm, so bad parking is always at its worst for me.
Carrie: No, we don't do that.
Me: If parking is such a problem, why don't you just give assigned parking'
Carrie: It's first come first.
Me: It's obviously a problem, why don't you address it'
Carrie: It's a problem everywhere, ever property I've been at in the past 4 years has had a parking problem.
Me: It doesn't have to be. At my current apartment, there's plenty of parking. At your next meeting with the corporate office, why don't you bring it up and try to find a solution'
Carrie: (sarcastically) Okay, I'll do that. (click!)
So if this is how they treat perspective tenants, I'd fear for how they treat you after you're locked into a lease! Needless to say, I crossed Preston Park right off my list.
As for Carrie...good luck with that attitude. I'll make sure not to tip you next week at Publix when you're bagging my groceries.
