I lived here from 2003 through December 2006. I relocated to Missouri for 6 months and now I am moving back to Atlanta. I am reading reviews for different complexes (trying to decided where to live) and some have been very helpful. First of all I do want you to know that we were never late on our rent and I am not a jilted renter. I just want to give a fair and accurate review. When we first moved into the apartment everything was great. The office and maintenance staff were amazing. The complex was quiet and clean. We had amazing neighbors and it was a great community. We had more trouble in the last six months of our lease. The property had been declining because of tenants. The property changed names and management companies. The staff changed also. They did start painting and putting up new signs but I liked the old paint better. The "makeover" was noisy and messy. The workers were also loud and messy. They would park their work vans in spots for tenants and leave trash everywhere. We changed garages and the office tried to charge us for both and it took 3 months and a call the the district manager to get fixed. The manager at that time (an overweight White female) was very rude and actually cursed and yelled at my boyfriend for her mistake. A neighbor would let his friendly, but large dog roam around the complex. The dog would run after cars and people. It took complaints from several residents and a huge fine for him to get the point. A lot of people refused to clean up after their dogs or put them on leashes. The group of mentally challenged residents were loud and would often fight and cause small fires. The care giver would leave her dogs in the garage all day so they barked constantly. People would leave their trash on the steps or by the trees so ants were prevalent. People would stomp up the stairs and talk very loudly. Kids would be running and yelling everywhere. Parking could be a problem if you came in late but you didn't usually have to walk too far. The power bill became outrageous when it switched to ISTA. Seriously...it used to run us around $40 to $80 but after that it was anywhere from $130 to $220 and we had a one bedroom. The gates were broken quite a bit.
It is a nice-looking community and is set off from the road so you don't get too much "traffic". It is very convenient to target, wal-mart, kroger, etc. It is ethnically diverse. Maintenance does respond but it may take a couple of days. The office staff could be better but it could definately be worse. The apartments are pretty spacious and have decent floor plans. In mine there were double doors that separated the bed and bathrooms from the rest of the apartment. It was relatively safe and there were some minor instances where the police were called. I think your opinion probably has a lot to do with your neighbors.

I lived in the community from 2002 - 2006 and this is a very accurate review. I agree with everything said.
