As of 10/31/2007, I will finally be gone from this complex. I lived here for five years, and of those five years the gates worked for about one month total. The staff has gotten progressively worse. I thought I was the only one who was going through all kinds of drama when it came to the leasing. Not only did they lose my rent twice, but they had the audacity to ask me if I even paid. After proving to them I did, they still have made life tough. My letter to terminate my lease has been lost, and if you have to deal with Elizabeth, Theo (a woman), Sylvia, or Jason, you are going to be angry 24/7. They do underhanded things like slip letters under your door at 2 am in the morning, and never call back. When you enter the leasing office, do not be surprised to see files everywhere, or even having to wait for 20 - 30 minutes while they sit and talk about what they are going to eat for lunch. They are the WORST!!!!!

NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE MONEY I SPENT. Nearly 900 a month (rent and electric -- always over $100 and I am barely ever here). IT IS A RIP-OFF.

I may even take legal action.

this is very true. this guy has said it all. I have been here for just five months and i am already counting the days left for my lease to be over. first of all i had to pay a deposit for $665 and the next month i was served with eviction notice on the 21st when rent was paid on the 1st of the month in question. IT took me close to a month to get a let from the court clearing me of non payment of rent. within this time, i call and walk into the leasing office atleast once everyday and never got a call back. How they charge for light and water is a secret only management understads. I pay over a $100 each month for lights when i barely stay at my apartment. If you want to live at a place where people are not taken for nothing then colonial grand at mcdaniel is not a place for you.
