When we first moved in we liked the fact it was not part of a cold impersonal apartment chain but under private ownership. That meant they screened prospective tenants, were actively involved in making the community nice, etc. But like all good things come to an end so did River Oaks when Colonial Grand came in and bought most apartments in the area. Now, once was a good place is now just average.Tenants fight for parking space, tenants can complain about you and management takes one side, trash all over dumpster, kids riding mopeds in street, dogs without leashes can run wild, broken whirlpool, etc, etc,.Management just dont' care now as long as they have residents so that means anyone can move in.The maintenance here is the only thing that has remained great.no complaints.

I live there too. And I haven't seen people fighting for parking spaces, kids riding mopeds, dogs without leashes, etc. The new owners, Colonial Grand, are cheap and they don't care but the office staff still cares.

When you lived here did you notice roaches, mice, waterbugs etc? Have there been any car or apartment break ins or any other issues of the sort? I am considering moving to this property and want to know.
