I moved to surgarloaf about a year ago. We had a real bad experince at our old apt. and really didn't want deal with the same issues here. I was very happy to see that each time we had a request, it was handled promptly. The staff is always very pleasant to me and my kids when they see us. We get calls to see if everything is okay with home and little gifts on occassion. I don't know about everybody else, but little things make a difference to me and they seem to make sure it's handled when I need it. So even if there are people upset from their experiences, I say you need to try it for yourself, because it's what you make it.
