I have been living here about 8 months now and absolutely can not stand it any longer! If I could break my lease or even buy out of it (which you can't) I would. When I came here and spoke with the leasing agent in the office, I was plain and simply LIED to about the complex. If you have read any of the other complaints about Howell Bridge, trust me, they are TRUE. My biggest complaints I have are these:
1. ROACHES - No matter how clean my apartment is, you can't get rid of them. They exterminator comes for a week maybe two then he stops and they come right back and because some of my neighbors apartments are so filthy, the cockroaches will NEVER be gone (this is what I was told BY the bug guy).
2. Maintenance- Maintenance' What Maintenance' I asked to have a piece of my ceiling fixed (there is a big hole in the corner) back in SEPTEMBER and it is still not fixed. My children and I went 4 days with no heat because my heater was broken. If you try to call the emergency number, no one EVER calls you back.
3. Local Hoodlums - there are kids here that Scare even ME and I don't sacre easily. My children hate living here because of the unsupervised, violent little (for lack of a better word) brats and hoodlums in this neighborhood.
4. Office Personnel - They don't give a damn about any of us or or problems, only if their Deliquencies are low and the rent is paid.

I could go on and on about this horrible place, put it's like blowing smoke up Casper's Ass...just going to keep blowing out the other side with absolutely no results. So if you are thinking of moving in here, trust me when I say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T!!!!

IF YOU ASK ME THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME KIND OF PETITION OF SOME SORT TO MAKE THEM CLEAN THIS PLACE UP, THAT IS INCLUDING THE TRASH THEY ALLOW TO LIVE HERE!

I am not sure about tenants rights in GA, but most states have a provision where you can put your rent in escrow at your local courthouse. The property management company does not get the rent until discrepencies are fixed and they cannot evict you because you have made good on your rent through the court escrow account. You might want to look into this because I am guessing that as soon as they are not getting paid they will indeed pay attention.
