Luckly for us we only signed a 6 month lease which we have already talked several times about breaking because it is so bad.
The gates don't work and when you call and ask when they will be fixed no one in the office seems to know or care.
The last person I talked with told me that the gates don't make the place any safer- and basically told me it was never safe.
I would have never moved in there without the gates- I called their corporate office eventually when the lady over Idlewylde told me "I wouldn't let a lady out of her lease for having terminal cancer why would I let you out for complaining about a gate".
I have been round and round with these people they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU or anyother people living there! The gate has been down for over 3 months.

You're basing you're entire opinion on the complex on the gates? Every apartment has an alarm.

what you and everyone else need to do, is stop paying your rent, go see someone in the legally field. They are breaching their contract. Just like those hi-acting wanna bs A friend of mine had to move because they
kept charging her for registration fees after she had already paid. I guess they needed more money to buy hair weave. The corporate office need to re-run a check on who they hire, because someone is pocketing money that is not theirs. All the tenants who they are giving the run around need to get together, and speak up. From the rating look, the only things going is the parking

The gates have no bearings on the safety of the complex and if you think they do, you are lacking in the brains department. If you haven't noticed, there are plenty of places to park around the complex and simply walk in. And yes, they all have alarms! If you were so scared, you would put up the money to have your apartment alarmed.

Wow, that's not deragatory or comepletely ignorant. I don't think I have seen someone put such a dumb response up. Hair weave? Legally field? I wouldn't take advice from you seeing as you hardly know how to spell...

There is strength in numbers. Before the roaches, it was ants. I joined forces with my neighbors once and not only got rid of the ants but didn't pay rent for the month it took to take care of it. Do your homework, stick together. Racist sounding wording reflects genuine frustrations but think about the result you want first.

Who is this Imrainw person who keeps defending Idlewylde????? They are probably a manager of some sort. Either way, they think everything is about racism and discrimination. Idlewylde tenants wouldn't be concerned if they did not have a legitimate reason or a previous experience to back up their case!!!!!! There is racism of all sorts toward EVERY race, no matter what color you are!!
My problem was not that the gate was not always working, my issue was that usually, it was broken/warped b/c someone had RAMMED the thing at a very high speed. That gate is iron...it had to take a crazy person who won't let anything stop them if they wanted to commit a crime! Absolutely scary!!! They need to turn on their "security camera" and catch the license plate to call in a destruction of property and trespassing violation to these jerks! You're a jerk, Idlewylde supporter!
