I have officially lived in Idlewylde now for 1yr. I personally have not had any issue with the anything while living here. Every morning i see the staff cleaning or fixing up the area. They always keep the environment looking nice. I have read reviews about the gates, security, car break ins, and etc. As far as the gates go there are times when they are not working. However they do always get fixed eventually, sometimes quicker than others. But just a little tip, even though there are gates, if someone wants to get in they will. A gate is not going to stop them! So the arguement over the gates is silly, and has anyone noticed the security cameras at the gates' That is a part of security. I do agree that the security patrol could drive around more, i hardly ever do see him. With the car break ins, i have not ever had that issue, nor have i heard about them. I feel very safe in the apartments. Unfortunetly for the people that have had that happen you have to realize this can happen anywhere. There is not any place that is 100% crime free, we are living in America. So with all that said, Idlewylde is not as bad as the reviews say. I do recommend it, but if it is not your cup of tea, then you can always move out.

I think whomever wrote this is an employee of Idlewylde...just a little TOO supportive of the place. It is a craphole!! I lived there for a year, and thank God I am out now. Don't fall for this bulls**t!!

I feel that you are full of ---- with the way you have put this complex on a pedistal, First of all I've lived here for 3 years and the management sucks, the leasing office agents are a bunch of fools with the exception of a few, the maintanance men are very lazy and hate to do the job that is required of them, THEY ARE ALL RACIST IN THE OFFICE, and say things about the tenants (hell they may have said a few things about you) If you believe this is a great place your ass is just as dumb as the people who work here.

I have lived here for 2 years and have had no problems with the staff or the apartments. I agreee that the gates do not work most of the time I have been here. When I have had a problem with anything in the apartment they were quick to come fix it. #1 - I do have problems with the trash that lives and comes in and out of here though. One day the exit gate was kept open for a reason I cannot figure out. Some black lady was going as fast as she could, entering through the exit gate as I was trying to leave out of it. I stopped my car, as she was yelling at me to get out of the way, I got out and told her she had no right to tell me to get 'the hell out of the way' because she was using the wrong gate. Well, the continued to call me a white ----- and was telling me to follow her to her apartment. Sorry, but I cant stand ingnorant people who cannot obay simple rules and get upset when they are confronted. #2 - There is a family above me that insists on letting their kids run and jump as long and loud as they please at all hours of the day and night. I have complained to the office about these people but they dont seem to care about getting complaints or bothering other people. Either that or they couldnt read he complaint because it was most likely sent in English. #3 - There are kids that play in the street with absolutly no adult supervision. I saw a kid on day sitting on a skateboard and going as fast as he could from the parking lot of the 1600 bldg into the street in order to hit the curb and end up in the grass on the other side. He could have very easily been hit by a car that day. When I told him that he just said he didnt live there and continued to fly into the street a few more times. #4 - I dont know if the guy still lives there but I remember a guy used to sit on his porch while smoking a blunt every day right above the parking lot the kids play in. Great influence! This is just a few examples of the ignorant trash that Idlewylde is being overcome by. I belive that the residents is what makes a complex and this one is getting over run with TRASH!!!

Yes, you are right. He still lives there and it is horrible living in this building. He is playing loud music all into the early morning anD I am sick of this S(*&!!! I just moved here lest than a month ago and pray daily for God to cover me and my husband. It is horrible.... Idlewylde needs to do something about this!!! IMMEDIATELY
