I lived in these apartments from 2003 to 2005 and I must tell you that the quality of the apartments changed tremendously within a 2 year time frame. I read the previous messages posted and I did not know that palisades accepted section 8. No offense to those on the program, but if they did take section 8 that would explain the sudden influx of riff-raff and the depleted quality of the neighborhood when I lived there. There is a severe turn over managers/office staff and nothing is consistent. Also, the office managers are not the friendliest of people. Around the time I moved this year, I went to the rent office to speak with the office manager, When I walked in the office she walked right pass me eating and did not wave or gesture hello in any way. They (office staff) do lose the rent payments, so I would advise you to hold on to all of your records. The rent is somewhat reasonable and if the quality of the neighborhood did not decline maybe I would have stayed. As far as maintenance is concerned they do a half job. Please look deep before you leap into a rental agreement. Also, 1 year is too long to be stuck in a lease if you are not happy there.
