Stay Away - Not Reccomended

As another review points out, this complex is nothing more than an upscale, overpriced ghetto. I say this for multiple reasons:
Ground floor apartments are in no way secure from break-ins. Sliding glass doors have nothing more than a simple latch lock which would not even keep out the stupidest of criminals. Bedroom to porch doors have the hinges on the outside where the pins can easily be tapped out with a screwdriver, etc. Therefore, the deadbolts are ineffective.
The breeze ways do not have good lighting. You can not even see people through the peep-hole only a dark shadow of the person at your door. This is the same regardless if it is day or night.
There is never any parking after 5:00 pm. Unless you get a garage, forget it! If you do get a garage, chances are people will constantly be parking in front of it and blocked you in or out of the garage. This was my experience anyway. Also, you can not leave your garage open and unattended for even a few minutes. I've caught "kids" trying to steal things 3 different times, while I walked inside the Apt. for a minute or two.
Often there is trash strung all over the grounds. This is more a reflection of the people that live here, but it should be addressed by management.
The gates are constantly broken, especially the one leading to Sweetwater. If you pay extra for a gated community, this should not be the case!
I've had a lot of problems with the apartment that no one (management/maintenance)seemed willing to fix. These problems were disguised at the time I moved in and started surfacing with a week or two.
The carpet was cleaned just before I moved in, however, the carpet along with the pad should have been replaced. Stains began surfacing from the pad as soon as the stained areas began to see traffic. The management's solution to this problem was to clean the carpet again, which would only disguise the problem for a short period of time before the stains returned. No other solution was offered by management and the carpet has had to be cleaned 3-4 times within a period of 2 months. The stains are still there!
I noticed that water stains began appearing in the ceiling of my garage shortly after move-in. Within a matter of days the ceiling began falling apart. Pieces of the ceiling were literally falling to the floor. Managment proposed to fix this by painting over it again. Paint does not fix the leaky pipes above the ceiling!
In conclusion, there are so many problems that it would be impossible to mention them all. These problems led me to break my lease within the first few months. On the surface this complex seems to be one of the nicest in the Pleasant Hill area, however, once you move in its a totally different story. I would not recommend this complex or this area to anyone.
