I have been living at Northwoods Lake for about 8 months now. I really think either the last few reviews are way too harsh, or possibly things have improved greatly since I moved in. I have seen the trash compactor filled up, but only a few times. I can?t say I have ever noticed the smell. The lake is pretty and has two nice fountains. There is a very nice walking path that goes around the lake and over a covered bridge. My service requests are always handled in a timely manner and I have found the staff to be helpful. Sometimes the property manager even walks around and hands out bottles of water while I am at the pool. This was the most inexpensive place I could find to live at in the Duluth area with out lowering my standards.
