I am a current resident at Northwoods Lake. I moved to Northwoods Lake 3 years ago because my brother lived here and it was really affordable. Though I loved my apartment, I found that the staff in the office was uncooperative and most times unfriendly. After the recent change in management, the second since I moved in, I found myself looking for a new place to live. Tired of things changing, I went to the leasing office to turn in my 60 day notice. When I went to the office, I was surprised to see several new Smiling faces, and for the first time someone asked me if they could help me. I let the girl know that I wanted to move and told her all the reasons why. After I told her, she let me know that she would do whatever it took to make sure I would stay. I told her I didn't want to stay because my apartment was falling apart and I had several unattended maintenance issues. The girl, Heather, apologized for all of the issues I had experienced and told me that I could transfer to a brand new apartment with all new furnishings and pay almost the same rent I was already paying, if I was interested. I decided that taking a look wouldn't hurt, especially because I didn't want to have to pack all my things without really having a place to go. I took a look at the new apartment and was blown away. I didn't really want to go through all of the hassel of moving, but if I was going to move anyway I would rather get a brand new apartment than some other place across town that wasn't as nice. Heather made the process really easy. I didn't have to pay a transfer fee and was given several options. Heather was very nice and always let me know she wanted me to be in the perfect home for me - she even bought me a Linens & Things gift card to help me buy a new comforter for my bedroom.

I completed my move last weekend and am loving my new home. Heather really helped me with the process and transfer. Though there have been a lot of changes recently, I would definitely recommend other people come live here. I know it looks like a dump, but believe it or not, the apartments are really nice.
