Promenade at Berkeley formerly Northwoods Lake

I've been living here 7 years and the place has gone down hill in the past few years. I've asked for several things to be fixed(Things that should be fixed and they won't. I need new carpet and they want me to move to another unit. I shouldn't have to do that. They have done it for several other units why not me. My guest bathroom needs a new cabinet because I had a slow leak and didn't discover it until it started coming out onto the floor.I am one of the few that pays their rent on time and one of the few who does not complain at everything) and to this day it still has not and I've asked several different times. The management group needs to think about who they put on the top level. If it is a family with children they need to be on the bottom level not above anyone. Children make too much noise as if they are coming through your ceiling and if you have a dog that does not like noise then you have a dog that is going to bark all the time.

I do not think you should be so picky. You live in an apartment complex, you are choosing to put yourself through this.

I agree with you! livingunhappy. this may be an apartment life, but there is a diff. between apartment life and someone being rude. and they shouldnt put someone on the 3 2 floor who has a 90lb dog.

I used to work in the apartment industry and just so you know, the office cannot do anything about children on a top floor. Actually they cannot do anything with familial status...its called fair housing. Maybe you yourself should request a top floor, then you have nobody above you. I have lived here for 6 months now and it is no different than any other apartment complex. I have had no problem with staff or neighbors. Sometimes the people that always have problems, are usually the problem!!

Maybe people who work at the complex should not write responses. I lived at this hell hole for five years and they can do a better job at putting kid/dogs above their long time residents. Its not rocket science.
