I thought it would be a cheap alternative to other complexes in the area, but all i got was low cost. I woke this morning to men with sledgehammers and a backhoe in just outside my window at 8:00 AM. I know construction crews work early hours, but sometimes (in my case) residents do not. The complex NEVER warns of these construction projects and if they do, it's wrong. Example: My apartment was flooded not once, not twice, but FOUR times during their renovation stage due to some incompetent idiot working at 3 AM, yes, overnight, all week. Sound relaxing' The Promenade at Berkeley sounds like a nice place, and i think it LOOKS better, but in the past few months being there, 2 fires, 2 homicides, and who knows what else, i am certainly convinced that Laramar Properties or whatever it's called (the group that owns the complex) does not care at all about their residents. There Are 2 pools there, one of which is open almost in time to close down for the season. Hey, the pond works great though!! In a short sense, if you'd just like to throw your money away to a place that does not give a *bleep* about you, your personal belongings, or your comfort, then you should be ecstatic here. If you like a nice, quiet and safe area, try someplace else. All i know is that today's incident will be grounds for me to break my lease with that disaster area. All I hope is they expect not to see another cent out of this guy. I'm done!

its very noisy here. the -------- here just let their kids run wild. its not safe 2 people killed and so far no arrest. soon as my lease is up im out of here. id rather pay more money and feel safe
