I have lived at The Reserve at John's Creek Walk for almost a year and unfortunately, there are a few complaints, as would be expected with any apartment complex. I moved in during the early stages of the complex while it was being built. They offered me a special (which was not a great special) upon moving in, along with most everyone who moved in at the same time I did. However, when renewing my lease, they increased it at an astronomical amount. (Please tell me if you think an increase of $73.00 more a month is a big increase' Put another way, they want me to pay an additional $876 more a year)!! My neighbors rent was increased but not even close to what they want from me. When I asked management about the increase, they gave me a sugar coated response. Noise from your neighbors is horrible. I can hear my neighbor singing in the shower, going to the bathroom, talking on the phone, and yes, late night recreational activity can be heard by all. Cars were just recently vandilized by a few teenagers. Cars were recently scratched by a few 15 year olds using a knife and they also slashed some tires. Noise from the construction workers and exhaust fumes from the semi trucks are horrible. Noise travels everywhere so easily.....rent is high and the noise is high. The positive things about this complex...the apartments are beautiful....maintenance staff is great and walking to a restaurant is very convienent! Please keep in mind, if you don't mind paying more for rent for an apartment than you would for a house, then this is the place for you.

The restaurants that were there have all moved out. The retailers were promised many things that did not transpire and most have moved out. They were promised a theater on the property and a big marquis to bring traffic into the shopping area. Most of the retailers are now in a class action suit against the property. They sold the shopping area leaving most of the tenants paying for nothing. Some of the tenants that moved are Ben & Jerry's, Village Market, Functional Furniture, Froots, and the pizzaria. The only restaurant left is Kayson's. Every time we've been there to eat, we were the only ones dining. So, if you want to walk to get your eyes checked, or a manicure, or the cleaners, or an art galary, storyville, or a day spa, they are the only merchants left. They also placed a bank in front of the retail shops which removed all the retail parking spots but also block the shops from being seen from the street. As far as the apartments go--- they are the smallest I've ever seen. I couldn't rent there because I couldn't fit my BR furniture in a bedroom there, or my living furniture in any living room there. They boast about having all the amenities but all you have is a corian countertop in the kitchen and that is all. If you have kids, the playground is the smallest I've ever seen and on a hill so if a kid falls, they end up in the middle of the road. Don't waste your time there. Too small, too crowded and too dishonest. BEWARE!!!
