Before you sign that lease, be aware & read this first...

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
We moved up from FL and needed a short term lease until we knew what area to move to. It semed nice from the website and the "rent special" seemed to good to pass up. The worst problem is the bugs. Besides the roaches, the ants are everywhere. We have ant paths everywhere including in our '04 car. The ants are everywhere, and they don't run when you hit the lights. We see roaches sometimes, but the ants are our everyday battle. We spoke to a pestcontrol guy who said the ants have always been a problem on the grounds. We're leaving early and are having to pay 2 months notice to break the lease. The buildings are almost 30 years old and have never been updated. The counter tops are painted over and when you wipe them the paint comes up after about a month. The bath drains are constantly having to be snaked. The electric bill was consitantly high, 170.00, which I felt was due to the old ac/heat system. The refrigerator was an issue too, half the food was frozen, the other half rotted too quickly. We all seemed to be sick constantly, which I felt was from the ac/heat units or mold in the apartment. The banisters are all wobbly, and after several attempts by maintenance to fix, they're still wobbly. Another issue is security. We wittnessed several incidents of police teams yanking residents out of apartments. We were told they were drug busts. We are absorbing the last 2 months rent and getting out early. The need to make major changes there.
