Nice space. Arrogant staff. Impossible bureacracy.

My fiancee and I are relocating from California. I have been with her for six years. After spending two days looking over 1 br. offerings, we found one we loved. Price was good. I am a tech. professional, and with my income and qualifications, there should have been no problem. There wasn't for me, but I found that navagating the labyrinth of bureaucratic rules for Treesummit proved a waste of valuable time in the end. Just to give an example, 'domestic partnership' is not valid. Both must apply, and both must be accepted on their own merit. My fiancee does not yet have a job in GA, and even though I qualify three times over it did not help us. They mentioned a cosigner. Even with an additional co-signer for Denise, it didn't help either because the co-applicant also earned (an the co-signer is an AMD executive) income only in California. So now we have three applicants, two of which are highly successful professionals, and we still cannot rent. In the end we offered full prepayment of rent for the year and offered a higher deposit. They then cited liability accepting prepayment due to legal issues with evictions due to nonpayment of rent. Now we're getting ridiculous here! I'm offering you clear proof that we are willing to pay by paying up front and you still cite some rule then another rule then another.
If you have lived your entire life in Georgia, have a good lawyer, can tolerate stupid people telling you stupid things, and aren't doing anything that deviates from Pleasantville then this might be the place for you. Otherwise, do not waste your valuable time and find someone who actually appreciates your business. Common sense is a valuable commodity indeed.

I dont know who helped this person out. But my husband and I are moving to Georgia from California and our experience was very different from this reviewer. We submitted an application, with a deposit, they called our past landlords ran a credit check (of which im sure mine wasnt very savory) and within two days we got approved!! We are moving out there next week, and even though we havent lived there yet, our experience so far has been great! I will keep everyone updated on how the complex is as far as living there |

My Fico is 796. Didn't matter. I wasn't allowed to have a 'roomate' unless my 'roomate' qualified and it was a difficult bureaucracy to navigate. Maybe the difference is that you initiated the process from California where my wife and I were driving around Duluth looking for places to live. Maybe they cleaned up their act. I highly doubt it.
