It has its ups and downs: but look at price and market

I came here because it was priced as an older complex should be and the 1 br floorplan with the sunroom is a good layout better than many newer places. A little window in the kitchen and the bathroom, I like that. The living room is like 19' long. Nice set up really.
Now they decided to catch up to the market so rent went up 50-$100 for many people. I'm not sure if a 10-12 year old place qualifies to catch up to a market of very new places.
Noise level is ok, not much late night music anyway, just your normal "stompers" and other irritations. People seem to keep to themselves in my building. Someone moving out once gave me some laundry cards, that was nice.
Issues:
Laundry areas: Are getting worse and nastier. Dryers up front never worked, never been fixed, it is hit or miss.
Utilities: Water/sewage bill, Electric Bill and gas bill. This adds up to way more than the last place. The gas is just to heat your water. If you want alarm system and there is no box, you have to pay for install.
Other things: There were some break ins. I lived through the water outage I don't really remember how long it lasted. Kids play ball in common areas and this has been complained about. They have limited area to play but they have also damaged cars. The gates have been working well recently, the car wash is up and running.
The maintenance crew rocks on normal repairs, that's all I've experienced.
