I have been at AMLI for almost 4 months. The pool area is beautiful. The grounds are well taken care of and the staff is the best ever. The Internet cafe is really inviting, it's nice that so many of the residents use it because it gives you the opportunity to meet others. It's not just a tiny little room with a computer and a printer. The gym is nice too. The complex is well designed. It does have a city apartment feel to it. I just love my apartment.
The one problem a few of the residents seem to be complaining about is of the noise that can be heard from the upstairs neighbors. You can hear cabinets and drawers being closed. You can hear every step your neighbor upstairs takes. Another complaint has been the dirty parking deck and hallways. The dirt from the parking deck is tracked into the hallways, which is, then tracked into our homes. One of the rules is that we cannot keep a doormat in the hallway to wipe our feet on upon entering into our home. The logic of this is that the hallways are cleaned and the mats would interfere with this cleaning, but sorry to say, the hallway floors are not being cleaned. Most of the dirt is left from the construction, so a good pressure washing in the parking deck would help keep the hallways cleaner.
Lastly, true, there have been some car break-ins, but this is something that can happen anywhere. Management has hired a security company and I noticed the gates are functioning better lately.
My expectations in management are positive and I think that everything will be taken care of in time. I will get back to update on what managements response on the noise and parking deck dirt has been.
For the residents reading this:
We the residents can do a lot to help by being more alert to what is going on in the parking deck and corridors. Take action! When something does not seem right, let management know or call 911. Check to make sure the gates close and lock properly after entering the complex particularly the walk in gates. This is our community and we need to take care of what is ours.

Yes, I agree that this is a beautiful community. HOWEVER, the rash of break in's are pathetic, 3 total now. Each break-in has occurred in spit of a security guard. How much more can a resident do? My car was already broken into...all for a small tote bag. It is ridiculous to think that there is more that I can do to protect my community. We should not have to completely clean out our cars and pray that with each new day we are not greeted with broken glass.
