While the complex is pretty much brand new (built in 2007), it does come with its fair share of problems. Unfortunately for AMLI, most of these problems involve the residents and not the property itself. I will discuss both aspects of the complex in this review.

PROPERTY/STAFF: The complex itself is attractive and inviting. The view of the pool from one's balcony is particularly impressive, regardless of which one you overlook (there is a resort-style pool and a lap pool). The apartment has most of the standard features, including a gymnasium (mostly cardio equipment), a business center, and the pools, of course. The price is a bit high, but about what I'd expect in Dunwoody. For parking, aside from a few parking spots scattered around the perimeter of the building, you're confined to the parking deck. The parking deck is too cramped and you're bound to nearly run into someone on a daily basis. The upkeep of the building has thus far been good, though the real test of this will begin once the complex starts to age. Maintenance personnel are generally reliable in fulfilling your requests in a timely manner (contrary to what another reviewer here stated, they will replace the light bulbs in your bathroom at no cost to you). The employees are also friendly for the most part, though my interaction with them has been minimal.

RESIDENTS/GUESTS: Unfortunately, here is where the complex really suffers. Let's be honest: when you move to Dunwoody you expect that your experience is going to be a bit more "upscale" in regards to your neighbors; more so than the rest of Atlanta, anyway. Basically, there are some sketchy people seen roaming the complex, both residents and guests. This leads to noise, break-ins, and an overall sense of uneasiness. While I realize there's no way to control all of these things, I think the complex could amp up the security a bit. A security guard was hired after the initial car break-ins, though he is rarely seen as of late. No word yet on how the complex plans to deal with the apartment break-ins, though I imagine little will be done.

BOTTOM LINE: The complex is visually pleasing and has some great features. However, the environment and some of the tenants bring its appeal down considerably.

i agree 100 percent with this review. because of the location (outskirts of doraville), you get a lot of sketchy people roaming around the complex (both as residents and guests). that is my number one complaint, and really my only one. it is unfortunate though, bc i love living here right now while the place is brand new, but i don't think i would want to be a resident here in ten years after residents have destroyed the place. i would recommend living on the top floor, which is where i am, because you aren't subjected to the noises from above, and i never hear any from below. noise has always been a huge issue for me in most complexes I have lived in, but i have had no complaints in this regard here.
