This property is pretty expensive. There is a lot of choice for layouts, 2 pools, workout room and business center. All of them are very clean and up to date. This is also a non-smoking complex and no dogs, which was a major selling point for me. I hate to be a bigot, but I tend not to get along with smokers.

Being in the metro Atlanta area, you run a HIGH risk of break-ins. At least the management responds to it and lets everyone know, rather than sweeping it under the rug. Rent-a-cops patrol the area after break ins for a few weeks, but there haven't been that many compared to the other complexes near here. Other than overnight car break-ins, the complex is very safe.

AMLI is a little cheesy about the "community" atmosphere, they tend to act like we all interact and socialize with each other. The truth is, I've only met 1 person in the almost 2 years I've lived here. Everyone is nice, just to themselves, there is no grass area or common areas and it's amazing what social impact that has. It was different when I 1st moved here; they had Braves games socials and little pool parties. Otherwise, the complex is just a parking deck and halls, little room for interaction.

The biggest downfall to AMLI is the corporate atmosphere. I moved in when it was just built and had tons of maintenance and bug issues (as I expected). I was cool and patient with them in the amount of time it took them to resolve those issues. However, when I was accidentally paying the wrong rent amount, they sunk in their teeth and milked me with late fees. Human compassion doesn't have any weight to corporate responsibility here. That being said, the maintenance department is very responsive and friendly now.

I think I was honest and fair in my review of AMLI. The real proof is the fact that I renewed my lease for a year, even after a price increase. I do like where I live.

I thought this was worthy of posting:
Recently there was a fire on the eve of the 4th of July that put my unit in danger. Rick (I believe is the new manager), was extremely responsive and on-site to address the issue and reassure the residents very promptly. The maintenance man and even his wife were also extremely helpful and resourceful during the 1st few chaotic hours. Fires are awful any time of year, but I was impressed that the management didn t just disappear because it was a holiday weekend. Thanks to the promptness, a crew was out that night to prevent any damage to my unit and I m thankful for the quick response.

We've been here for over a year as well. We love our apartment, the gym, and the pools. I agree we don't have regular resident events Those party buses to the ball game were great! The father's day event was lots of fun but not too many people showed up. If your out and about you do see neighbors who I will call the "regulars" and they're pretty friendly. I think it's cool to go down to the gym and cafe and greet and talk to the regulars but you gotta be out and about if you want to meet others. The noise from people walking and running in the hallways does travel. I have heard some dog barking and a neighbor smoking in his patio, non-smoking was a big plus for me since cigarette smoke flares up my asthma. Maintenance is good but they need a better grounds keeper who doesn't just concentrate on keeping the first floor clean. The office people are nice but they seem to be walking on egg shells all the time, and they get changed faster than you can remember thier names. What's up with that? Is AMLI that tough with thier employees? All in all I am happy here. I'm hoping the area will start building up, maybe a newer supermarket, a bookstore, etc.
