I've lived here 3 years. Overall, it's been a very enjoyable stay. The amenities are great, the office staff is impeccable, and the fact that Alara offers easy access to anywhere one wants to travel in the Greater Atlanta area makes me want to renew my lease another 5 years!

I would highly recommend Alara to anyone - especially young people like myself who are just starting out.

As far as the "negative comments" about this place go - don't believe anything those people say. It seems to me that most of those people who post negative comments have an ax of some sort to grind. Again - I've lived here 3 years, and I have no idea what those people are talking about. If you call a group of teens playing football in the parking lot a "gang," then I guess we have gangs. All I know is that those "gangsters" have always been nice and polite to me when I've seen them around the complex.

I also know that the mangagement of this place is always very quick to respond when there are problems of any sort. They have always been extremely helpful whenever I have a maintenance or other sort of emergency come up - they are courteous and accomodating.

Yes, I would definitely move here again. . .

To prospective tenants - please don't let people with "attitude problems" discourage you from living here. Some people will never be content, regardless of where they live. . . I find their negative comments very disturbing.

My what a blind eye and deaf ears you have, Alararules247.I imagine you see things thru rose colored glasses, if at least not blind.I have been a resident here for 5 years. We loved the complex and management when we moved here. But through time and turnovers,times have sorely changed. You have obviously not seen nor heard thru the years, the "gangs" in some sort of way, congrgating many times in the complex,usually near the gate. The car radio turned up,pit bulls and other large dogs off leash that would come at me and other residents,LOUD voices,filthy slurs,waiting for cars to come and go and walking in front of them,menacing stares and fear of being approached or followed. I suppose you were also blind to many car break ins and vandalism,rats and, oh yes, a murder (that the management had full knowledge of a tenant who was being stalked and was moving here to "hideout" and that was killed shortly after moving here.)No notices to tenants before or after. The security is a laugh riot. You'd probably get much better results calling Pizza Hut if you have a security problem then anyone here. All I can conclude with, is proceed with caution.

I totally agree - this person has NO idea what their talking about probably too high on crack like everyone at Highland Park!! It's a disgusting place to live, and I highly suggest you look elsewhere to live. It use to be an awesome community but not anymore. We desperately need new management!
