There is a person living above me with a "issue", he is up 24/7, running, jumping, pacing and stomping the floors. Corporate and Management have received numerous complaints written and verbal. Management knew of the situation before I moved in but never said a word. I made it known long before I moved in that I needed a unit that would be quiet. I am reasonable and understanding of normal sounds from neighbors but this is NOT normal. This is a heard of elephants on stamped 24/7. (NO EXAGERATION) So far Management has not done anything except call the tenants caregivers on the days I complain.
Management has not offered any way to solve the issue. No this is not normal walking it is pacing and jumping from a person that needs supervised assistance 24/7.
My kids can not sleep and are scared out of their beds at night by loud booming jumps and rithmic banging on the walls. The light fixture came down shortly after I moved in. This was due to the jumping in the bathroom above us. I received a " sorry" from the management team and it took 3 months for them to bring out a new globe for the light and they did not offer to to put it on. The light globe lays on my counter since I do not have a ladder in my apartment.
Also, I had a water leak from the AC drain that soaked the carpetting in my dinning room and my little girls room. It was leaking for a long time and the water was going under the wall into my little girls closet and around the wall where her bed was set. I did not know that it was wet and subsequently the leakage damaged the bottom of my little girls bed frame and a wooden toybox that was in her closet. When the water gushed out the mainenance closet I figured out their was a issue and hunted down the maintenance staff since the Management team was not in the office. I left the management team a voice mail saying that I needed emergency assistance but NOONE called me. Lucky the guys that do service the apartments are easy to find and they will respond quick to a request. ( Managers may not respond but at least the mainence guys are nice and will assist you.)
