I recently moved into a 1 bedroom unit at Dunwoody Gables (The Ashley). The apartment was very nice on the inside and the staff was friendly and professional as well. However, my unit was facing Peachford Rd and N. Shallowford Road and the noise from traffic and sirens was intolerable. Luckily, they do have a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and I moved out with no lease termination fee. My advise to you is that if you are considering moving in at Dunwoody Gables DO NOT take an apartment that is facing the roads or otherwise expect to hear lots of trucks, motorcycles, and sirens. I also think their rates are too expensive. You could buy a condo and your mortgage would be the same or less than what you would be paying to rent. If you don't mind paying the high rent and can get a unit not facing Peachford or Shallowford I would say you are not making a bad choice. I have lived at another Gables property before and Gables seems to be a pretty reputable company. Ooops, one more thing I forgot to mention is parking can be an issue too unless your unit is beside one of the parking decks.
