Sooo Obnoxious!

I was visiting apartments in the area this afternoon, and was not impressed by the staff here. When men walked in, the greeter was thoroughly checking them out while screening them based on their interests in features such as hardwood floors and marble counters. I then had to wait more than 50 minutes to be able to see floorplans with no talk of costs. The staff was more interested in asking if I wanted vinyl, ceramic tile, or stone tile. The girl who showed me an apartment was very unprofessional. Her golf cart went dead (she said this was the second time in a day). That really made me wonder how attentive the staff are. I really didn't like the way they avoided talking prices and their lack of knowledge for the individual floorplans. They had a hard time telling me what I would be buying and how much it would cost. I don't know what caused price differences between units or what they featured.

That's just how Gables staff are trained, I guess. They push the luxury features and downplay costs. Car salesman do the same thing. Be more assertive next time, and take the lead so you get the info you want.

their prices are pretty high and that is why they probably won't discuss it until you fall in love with an apartment you like. give it a chance though. with the crummy apartments around Dunwoody that are actually affordable, this place isn't that bad! i couldn't find any better places than this so far... maintainence is great, the pool is good, the workout room is all new, they have a good amount of washers/dryers, the garbage compacter is emptied regularly, not too much crime, etc.
if attitude is your guiding factor then you might miss out on a good apartment community in Dunwoody. yeah they might act kinda high and mighty but the apartment is what you should be worried about.
and no, i do not work there. that staff is all new and i don't know any of them. i miss ------!! and ------!! they actually cared......

Um, just thought I'd point out that this review is not of Dunwoody Gables, but probably Gables Metropolitan. Dunwoody Gables does not have a greeter, nor do we have granite countertops and ceramic tile. Maybe people should be a little more carefull before deciding to bash a property on here, at least make sure you're talking about the right one.
