Be Aware Before Moving In

If you move in on one of Gables Specials like $200 or $400 off your first few months rent, or a reduced rate to fill several unocuppied units be prepared when it comes time for renewal. Gables will slap you with a huge rent increase to bring the rent back up to current market rates. I lived at Dunwoody Gables for one lease term of 14 months, and I moved in on a special. When it came time for my lease to renew I was hit with a $100 increase. I had no problems living there, I enjoyed my apartment but it was not worth that kind of increase. I just took the time to write this so a potential new resident will be aware. Don't say you were not warned.

yeah this place used to be more giving when it came to renewal time - i left too and i'm not sad i did. there are places out there that take into account your leasing record and will make allowances or meet you halfway. a $100 increase is ridiculous! not surprised about it either. dunwoody gables will bleed you dry! i'd only recommend it if you have multiple roommates where a potential increase wouldn't hurt as bad.
