Do your research before deciding on Hampton Hill!!!

When I first moved into my apartment at Hampton Hill, I was happy with it. Over time, and through many changes within the office, my opinion began to change. These apartments are very old. They are also very poorly insulated. I don't know that I ever had a power bill under $130.00. I lived on the top floor of my building and during a rain storm, our ceiling began to leak. I made numerous calls to the office regarding the leak, but it was only when the ceiling actually fell on my roommate that anyone came to check out the problem. (To fix the leak, the maintenance man simply put a plasic board over the 5'x5' area.) We had many other problems regarding maintenance. Our air conditioner broke and it took 3 calls to the office to get it "fixed". The first 2 times, the thermostat was moved down to 60 degrees. Not only did it not fix the problem, it let us with an even higher power bill. We had to sleep in our apartment in tempertures of 95 degrees. We were told it would have to wait until the temperature outdoors reached 85 degrees.
Nothing about the complex made me feel safe. My roommate's vehicle was broken into, the people below us were robbed, and the people below them had their vehicle stolen. These issues are only a few of many. With that being said, think twice about moving to Hampton Hill.
