Rent here is due on the first of each month. In our lease it states "rent is late if paid after the 3rd of the month." However, my husband and I were out of town one holiday weekend and deposited our rent check on the morning of the 3rd on our way to work into the night drop box. A couple of days went by and we had a late notice in our door. I called the office to address the late notice and was told that rent is due on the first, after that it is late. So we argued and finally paid the 10% late fee. Now, I called the office today to let them know that I did not have a chance to make it to the bank this morning to get a casheir's check, my monthly payment method now too since they have lost several of my rent checks. Today is the first and I was told that as long as I have rent paid by the end of business on the 3rd, it is not late. Needless to say, management is all over the place, get everything in writing, get receipts for your rent, do not use the night drop, and buy a house - this is not worth it. We have had several other problems including the gate closing on our car several times, leaks in our apartment that have not been properly repaired, and extremely poor customer service.

Hmm well i lived at Post dunwoody from October 2005-Nov 1st 2006. It was ok, my rent was $699.00 for a small one bedroom. I always paid my rent on or by the 3rd of every month, however i never got charged a late fee.The only person i ever spoke to was Alicia, and she was pleasant. i still never understood that water billing system though.But i think its way over priced.

this post is incorrect, i lived at post for 1 yr and the rent is due by the 2nd, "rent is late on the 3rd", the notice is posted very clearly on the exit gate. i had debated this point clearly with the staff so i know this.

Yeah, I think this "poster" should probably get their facts straight. Seems bizarre that some would get charged a late fee on the 3rd, but others don't. Wouldn't Post get sued for that? Sometimes you may not get the answer you like to problems, but that is the way life is sometimes.

Or pay your rent on the 1st! That's when it's due. It's not due the 3rd, that's a grace period. They don't cash checks until after the 3rd anyway. They collect them all and do it at once. It'd be too much of a pain in the neck to do all the check at different times.
