Bought the home buyers purchase clause, they didnt tell me that on top of the last months rent I'd be charged with a $1075 notice fee after my $250 home clause was purchased. Rip off. Not enough parking. Secured gates rarely work. Charged for valet waste pick up that you have no choice in. If you have an out of town cell phone for your phone, management will not call you to tell you have a delivery package at their front office.

I work in the leasing office and I am also a resident. I feel the need to clear up some things that have been written. 1. Our Home purchase clause CLEARLY states you can terminate your lease with proof of a home purchase without a termination fee BUT YOU STILL MUST GIVE A 60 WRITTEN NOTICE along with proof of purchase, if not, yes you will be charged for not giving a full 60 day written notice. The stipulations are clearly written out on the addendum of the lease. 2. The secured gates work 95% of the time, the only time it is not working is when the gate is misused. 3. We are no longer charging our residents $25 for Valet Waste even though we still offer the service. Simply look at your AUM statement and you will see the charge is no longer there. 4. Notification of packages is the responsibility of the courier company that delivers them. As a courtesy to our residents we accept them in the office to accommodate our residents when they are not at home. Whether you have a long distance or local telephone number has nothing to do with notifying you that your packages are in the office.

I love how the staff person tries to defend his/herself. Look, all apartments have problems, there is no shame in someone pointing out the flaws in the place you work/live. Such as: 1. Yes, it probably does CLEARLY state that he has to give a 60 written notice, but it was probably within such a large document and so technically jargonned that most people done even attempt to comprehend it (of course this translates to larger profits for your company in the long run then :) 2. The secured gates do not work 95% of the time. They hardly work 50% of the time, especially the extra secured parking under the building I live (12) in which the gate is always open, a worthless purchase. I dont really know how an electronic gate can be misused??? It has either been broken or has malfunctioned. In any case, it is still the responsibility of the manager to fix the thing. 3. I fortunately never had to pay for the crap $25 a month Valet waste disposal. And you are correct, the tenants probably dont have to pay for it anymore on the water/sanitation bill, but the newly adjusted rent probably went up more than $25, didn't it? 4. Notification of packages IS the responsibility of the courier. He just said it would have been nice for your office to notify people. Most other places do it as a courtesy, so you are only really furthering the point that the staff is not interested in satisfying the tenants. This staff person just makes me sad, and laugh at the same time. I am confused. Time to eat a hot pocket...

Dumbwoody, nicely written. The staff person really is furthering the point that the staff is not interested in satisfying the tenants.
