I was searching the web to try and locate a "cheaper" apartment due to the economic downturn, so that I could save even more money. I would like to thank everyone for writing your honest comments about your apartment living situations because it has helped me to truly appreciate Windridge apartments and to realize that there is more to comfortable living than saving an extra $50 or so dollars. So thank you all!

I have lived in Windridge Apartments since 2000. Though management has changed about three times, we used to be Equity, then someone else, now First Communities, it has only improved. Of course, you are used to certain people in the office and are a little disappointed when they leave as most people simply do not like change. But the laundry facility is excellent! It is monitored by an employee and a camera. It is always clean and the machines are always working. It is air-conditioned with nice windows and a comfortable sitting area. There are also a few pieces of quality exercise machines in the laundry facility so that you can work out while you wash clothes! It is one of the best laundry facilities that I have seen even alot better than the old one that was here back in 2001. We also have a small fitness center that has security code and a tv.

We have a tennis court and a swimming pool. Both which are well-maintained. The apartments themselves are very reasonably priced for the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area. I have a one bedroom that was $602 but have been paying $502 since 2002 due to the recession. The complex is clean and quiet. If you like to sleep late, there will be no problem. You can have pets and seeing poop is not a problem as we have a pooch path just for the animals.

The only thing that I do not like and it is simply a personal preference, is the one big kitchen sink instead of the two sinks. I love the huge pantry in the kitchen as well as the nice sized linen closet in the bathroom. The walk in closet in the bedroom is huge!! Large enough for a very small twin sized bed!! There is also a large storage unit on the porch. An the porch is nice to sit one and relax.

I have to say that I truly believe that this is a great apartment. I usually move every time my lease is up but I have been at Windridge for almost 4 years.

I am trying to think of a negative of this complex so that you won't think that this is a fluff piece..(thinking...hmmm)can't think of anything negative. Excellent location as it is right next to 400, Roswell Road, and Buckhead. I am a female who lives alone and I feel very safe here. It is well lite though there aren't any fancy locks on the doors or even a security system.

Oh, I just though of a negative. This really is not a place for people with kids as there is no where for them to play. Most have to play in the parking lot which is not safe. But of course if you are like me, without any kids, this isn't a negative either. Oh, and another negative was when I moved in the security deposit was completely non-refundable ($250). But I am not sure if that is still the policy since that was in 2000.

Thanks again for all the truthful reviews of other apartments. I am going to stay right where I am and am grateful that you stopped me from making a big mistake just to save a cool fifty!

I highly recommend this complex to anyone who wants to have peace and quiet, safety, and a great location without going for broke.

I just sign a lease with this complex , the management was very helpful and understanding, very patient, with my sutuations. The only thing i dont like is that none of their one bedrooms have wash /dryer connections..... but so far so good.
