I lived there from Oct '05 until April of '06, until I was deployed. I received a call one afternoon from my wife, stating we had rats. I went home to find eight to ten babies in a show box that fell out of the couch onto her foot. Upon searching the rest of the townhome I found that many more in a closet. Later that night I caught both mothers in cages I purchased from the local Lowe's Home Improvement. The mothers were huge, and had been contorting themselves through small holes. Apparently they had relocated themselves from a townhome next door until the resident had them treated for. Then there were gangs that would wait for the keyed gate to open and race in behind residents cars. I notified the office and they would say "Oh, I did not hear anything about that." And it did not help the East Point Police actually had people living there for this very reason. Then residents were complaining their townhomes were broken into. The management stated the residents were probably doing it themselves. Then the employees would enter premises on the auspices of doing maintenance and residents complained they had items missing and about the appearance somebody had helped themselves to food. Finally, when I was notified I was being deployed to Iraq. I presented my orders and the next morning there was a $3,000.00 bill on my door for contract termination. Needless to say this was a mistake on their part and the Army Staff Judge Advocate, Army Lawyers, were more than happy to advise them of the federal laws against this just to see if they were serious in their monetary pursuits.
